Musical sensation Mawhoo just released her latest music project called “The Sound Of Magic”. Last year she dropped her album “The Chosen” and it reached critical acclaim and was highly rated as one of the best projects to be released last year. She seems to be repeating the same success this year once again.

Her Spotify enjoys over 734.5K monthly listeners. Today she is competing with American trap-soul sensation Bryson Tiller who is also releasing today. This Ep. from Mawhoo is a 5 track Ep. with the track list as follows 1. Emaweni  2. Ukwamukela 3. Isiphiwo 4.Qinisela 5. Moya Wasendulo.

“Her voice brings healing to me, this girl cannot miss”, Is just what one fan said about her music today. The album is today years old and it is a must not miss, because Mawhoo herself does not miss.

Zintle Mofokeng who is a big brother contestant has been trending on twitter after her live meet and greet for Big Brother Mzansi. The timeline is showering her with glorious praise for her capability of being an influencer. This could be her fanbase challenging the almighty Yolifires (Yolanda’s fanbase) because of how last week Yolanda set the timeline ablaze with her TikTok Live getting 5.1 million likes.

This week belongs to Zintle. Captain Morgan Whiskey has seen the power of Zintle and her influence. Captain Morgan re-adjusted the label to show its alignment with Zintle. Instead of “Captain Morgan” on the label, the bottle now reads “Captain Zee”. Usually you'd have to be on the level of AKA to get a deal like he did with Cruz vodka or like Cassper with his Don Billiatto campaign. Captain Morgan has decided to temporarily rebrand itself as “Captain Zee” showing the power of Zintle as an influencer.

Aside from the endorsements, numerous clips of Zintle are being shared and reposted profusely showing how she herself is a living meme. Hilarious makeup tutorials, or her recommending products she herself uses the users on the timeline know its impactful when you ‘meme with Zintle’. More than her influence and memes, the general public has taken a liking to her fashion taste and how she carries herself, making it a shortcut for the everyday lady to get effective tips on how to really look stunning with the simple means she uses.

Zintle could effectively be a style coach. Zintle is a natural saleswoman. One user on X said that “Even if Zintle Mofokeng was to sell me a snake I would buy it”, Showing the true formidable power of her allure as an influencer. Hopefully this results in more endorsements for the young reality star.

Jennifer Lopez recently dropped an album, with a film and a documentary all collectively titled “This Is Me Now”. The album did horribly debuting at number 38 on the billboard top 200 to low album sales, poor reviews, and a reception so bad it led to the star canceling her tour dates because of low ticket sales.

Jennifer’s last album was titled A.K.A. which was released a decade ago. This album had mixed reviews from critics who applauded the album for its ambition in experimentation of sounds but it still garnered low sales. This made it her lowest charting album as well as her lowest selling album. It's one thing to have an unsuccessful album which is forgivable but waiting a decade to drop another flop had fans dragging her on social media.

The music critics oscillated between good reviews and bad reviews, All Music gave it 3.5/5 while The Guardian gave it 2/5 , making the critique fair. The album sold 14,000 copies which had many fans online laughing at the album. Jennifer Lopez made this attempt even worse by adding a film and a documentary in conjunction with the album.

The theme of the album was that it was the continuation of her top selling album “This is me then” in 2003. That album is now 21 years old and it was during that time she was romantically involved with Ben Afleck. They broke up and both led separate lives but it seems they have reconnected and come back together. Jennifer wanted to make this album about their love, naming it “the greatest love story never told”. This was also the storyline for her film for the album.

“This Is Me Now” finds the songstress 21 years later at 54 years with her best days behind her. Jennifer was denied funding for this project, she even decided to take out 20 million dollars of her own money to fund this project even after being advised not to do it. Her people who voted against the album were proven right judging by how poorly the project performed.

The documentary only further showcased how out of touch she has been with the world and the fans alike. The documentary showed her contacting a-list celebrities to be a part of the film and most of them declined (except Lizzo who swore she would have agreed had she been notified in time). However Jennifer managed to find her cast. Her narcissism was showing in how relatable she tried but failed to be. Jennifer keeps referencing ‘The block’ which refers to her neighborhood in the Bronx borough of New York. The scene in the documentary that made fans cringe the most had to be when her hair was messy and she was in the dance studio looking in the mirror saying “This reminds me of back in the days when I was on the block…”

New York social media users mocked her for using her past to be relevant. The fans claim she is not sincere and that she is using New York as an accessory to be more ‘relatable’. Jennifer Lopez has been a millionaire since the 1990’s and New York has changed since then so her referencing has been described as tone deaf. When Jennifer announced her tour dates fans ridiculed her for the ticket prices and said she's not worth watching any more, and people further mocked her by expressing that she thinks she is the “Latin Beyonce”.

Trying to sell nostalgia when nobody misses you is a big task. Jennifer seems to have lost her self awareness at this point. The world has moved on and so many impactful artists have entered the game since the 2000s. Better albums and films have been made for the last 20 years. Her status as a legend will forever be solidified but her relevancy died in the 2000s. The world is not craving Jennifer Lopez and it hasn't been for a long time. Fans are even advising that she becomes a resident performer at a Las Vegas club like may artists who are past their prime

Fidelis Moema, aged 32, is trending on Twitter due to his arrest for theft, fraud, and money laundering. Moema, a former bursary specialist at KPMG, allegedly misdirected funds intended for bursary recipients between 2021 and 2022. Instead of paying university fees for students, he deposited the money into the bank accounts of friends and individuals with companies, subsequently transferring it back to his personal account. KPMG has suffered a loss of R16.5 million as a result of Moema's fraudulent activities.

On this Friday 5th of April, The Roast of Minnie Dlamini is upon us courtesy of Showmax and Launch Africa. The timeline is restless with excitement for the roast of media queen Minnie Dlamini, all is fair in war and so many insults and jokes will be traded. The timeline predicts that this may be the worst butchering for the following reasons:

The Panelists namely Robert Mawara, Shahan Ramkissoon, Penny Lebyane, Da Les, La Sizwe, Trevor Gumbi, Siv Ngesi, Celeste Ntuli. The timeline is saying this is the craziest panel for one person. Minnie has never had too much controversy around her except that she is a single parent with a divorce on the rise. But looking at the panelists, her situation is too much fodder for them to work with. This will be bloody.

Minnie did come under fire because of her remarks at her ex-lover Itumeleng Khune. She was dragging her ex on live TV and social media was not here for it. She age-shamed him when she expressed her shock that Itumeleng was still playing soccer at his age when she said “No Guys, Khune still plays?”. Social media users labeled her a bitter ex in the aftermath.

It seems people are seeking atonement for their crimes. Nosiviwe turning herself in to the authorities for her corruption, now Minnie Dlamini walking into a live roasting session for ridiculing her ex is what the timeline is expressing. To those who are interested in seeing the roast live the tickets are available at ticketpros.co.za. The event is happening live today at the Sandton Convention Centre.

The Former Speaker of the Republic of South Africa’s National Assembly, Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula has driven and turned herself in to the authorities this Thursday morning 4 April 2024. After her attempt to avoid prosecution was denied and after police had a stake out outside her house monitoring her movements, Nosiviwe decided to atone for her accusations and surrender herself to the authorities.

Users online are considering this event historical as many politicians tend to get away with corruption. Nosiviwe had one of the highest ranks in parliament being a former minister of defense, as well as her last position of speaker of the National Assembly making her fourth in line from the president when looking at the political hierarchy. She faces charges of bribery and corruption.

Nosiviwe Mapisa Nqakula arrived at Lyttelton Police Station in Centurion this morning. She is currently in custody. Reports that she allegedly received bribes from Umkhombe Marine Chief executive,Nombasa Ntsondwa-Ndhlovu. Umkhombe Marine was awarded contracts worth more than R200 million when Mapisa - Nqakula was minister of defense.

“Nosiviwe must refuse to go down alone, she must sing a nice song.” This is from an X user implying that she was not the only beneficiary in this scandal. Video clips from 2021 of General Mhkwanazi warning Nosiviwe about lying to the public and that it will have consequences in the future. It seems as if Nosiviwe’s situation may have a domino effect in the sense that other members of the ANC may finally have their day in court. All there is now is a video of Nosiviwe her car leaving her residency on her way to Lyttelton Police Station for the law to take its course.

Dj Maphorisa (Phori) Is trending because artists, media influencers, and the fans have been complaining about how he has done business. In the industry there is no one with a perfect reputation, however in this case Dj Maphorisa has been accused of being extremely selfish and taking full ownership of the work he has done with other artists. People are referring to Maphorisa as the P. Diddy of the South African Music Industry.

There are many instances being spoken about. First it's Kabza De Small being hoodwinked by Maphorisa in the production of their album “The Scorpion Kings”. The album was originally supposed to be for Kabza De Small, but after they worked on the album Maphorisa left for Los Angeles without notifying Kabza De Small. The rug was pulled from underneath Kabza De Small’s feet when Maphorisa abruptly uploaded the album without consulting Kabza De Small and named it “The Scorpion Kings”. Kabza still talks about that incident in shock.

Shebeshxt also aired his grievances with Maphorisa in an interview with L-Tido. He spoke about how much he respected Maphorisa and how disappointed he was after working with him. Mlindo The Vocalist also aired his grievances about how Maphorisa left him out of the royalties for the song they made together called “Amablesser”. It came as a shock to fans because that song was one of the biggest releases in 2018.

Mac G has been the one media Influencer who has called out Dj Maphorisa. Most people agree with Mac G on a lot of things (even though his conspiracies against Tyla and her rise to fame are seen as unfair), he’s definitely right about Maphorisa. Although artists themselves should read contracts or be more firm with negotiations “Phori” seems to somehow switch the goal posts in his favor when working with artists. It seems as if his greed is making him more famous than his hits and the timeline is finally loud about it.

In light of Nosiviwe Mapisa Nqakula resigning from her position in ANC, and the questioning of Jacob Zuma’s “accident”, people now are wondering why the media and the police didn't have the same energy for Marcus Jooste. The police men had camped outside the homes of other suspected ANC officials and even proceeded to raid their houses, but for Markus Jooste they quickly moved on to another issue.

Reports saying in 2008, in an attempt to evade justice, Samuel Israel III, a hedge fund fraudster, pretended to commit suicide. He was later apprehended and sentenced to 20 years. His account was identical to that of Markus Jooste, leading most to believe that he is alive and avoiding capture. The general public believes that this is more than a conspiracy. They are also questioning why there hasn't been media coverage or police investigations.

The issue is trending because people believe Markus was capable of the methodology executed by Thabo Bester of faking your own suicide and having a John Doe(Unidentified corpse) in your place as a decoy. There hasn't been any media coverage on the funeral, leading the public to believe something is afoot.

“Mmusi Maimane is the only one who can tell us about Markus Jooste,”  “Why is it that only Markus Jooste friends in the media as well as the one witness are the ones who heard the gunshot but didnt see the body of Markus Jooste.” Are a few questions speculating the legitimacy of Markus Jooste’s death. All we can say is that the fabric of corruption is unraveling and those who have indulged from it are going down the drain with it.
