ANC secretary General and former Minister Fikhile Mbalula is in turmoil over the loss of his daughter “Keletile Mathata”. “I am hurt today they killed my daughter”, is what he tweeted last night. Not much has been shared on the  actual murder or the culprits or any suspects, but there are rumors that the murder was politically charged.

Keletile Mathata was at Molewa Pub and Grill in Hebron Pretoria. The attack happened in the early hours of Monday morning where there was an avalanche of bullets from the gunfire that took place in the area. The very fact that the gunfire was aiming at a vehicle leads people to believe this indeed was an orchestrated attack. Keletile was with a male companion who was also murdered in the attack, The identity of the man has not been revealed.

Social media was in an uproar claiming Mbalula was clout chasing by proclaiming Keletile as his daughter, but he then clarified that Keletile was not his biological daughter but rather someone he had an affectionate paternal-like relationship with.

The police are under severe pressure with all the outstanding cases as well as all the murders they have yet to investigate. This is an era of too many high profile cases going on at the the same time, but South African citizens feel little compassion as these events happen to the citizens everyday. The police department truly has its hands full.
