Mantsho

Mantsho by Palesa Mokubung made history as the first African design house to collaborate with global fashion giant H&M. The Mantsho x H&M collection was featured in H&M’s flagship stores and available online across the world.

Palesa Mokubung, who holds a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design, is celebrated for her distinctive prints and original textiles that embody African elegance and modern sophistication. In 2019, True Love Magazine dubbed her “the African trend dictator,” a title that reflects her influence on the continent’s fashion narrative.

Her exceptional work has earned her numerous accolades, including a Lifetime Achievement Award at Free State Fashion Week, the GQ Best Dressed Award, and the Haig Club Clubman Disruptor Award. In 2014, she was also honored with the Carol Bouwer Mbokodo Award for her outstanding contribution to the arts and culture landscape in South Africa.

Mantsho’s collections have graced the runways of South African Fashion Week and international platforms worldwide, including a standout presentation at the BRICS Fashion Show in 2018.
