Boity Thulo is trending after declaring that she is going back to the church. Boity Thulo is officially a born again Christian and this has reached the public with mixed reviews. 

7 Years ago Boity Thulo answered the calling of her ancestors to become a Sangoma. She was adamant in this path and the public supported her. There was speculation on how she would manage to balance that with her brand as a media personality, however she pulled it off. 

In an interview back in 2021 she stated how she was not a ‘practicing sangoma’. This passive attitude towards a spiritual calling was frowned upon by most people. 

Conservative Christians applaud her decision. They believe that Boity has finally been saved, especially when people see the dark side of fame and how it brings people back to God. Many fans even consider the superstar more relatable now. 

On the other side many fans doubt she was ever a sangoma and that she did it all for social media clout. They claim her depression back then made her go through a spiritual phase. She once stated “If you are going to try and demonize me for believing in my ancestors and the journey they have placed me on, you’re wasting your time. And stop trying to send me to get reprimanded by white Jesus who claims the people who birthed my family are demons”. Now she has switched her tone and most people are seeing it as another antic to get public attention. Only time will tell how far this ‘awakening’ will take her.
