A Brazilian beauty pageant took an unexpected turn on Saturday as a furious man stormed the stage and snatched the winner’s crown just before it was presented to her.

In a shocking incident that left the audience gasping in disbelief, the man, identified as the husband of contestant Nathally Becker, forcefully pulled her away from the winner, Emannuelly Belini. He proceeded to seize the crown, hurling it to the ground in a fit of rage, shattering the coveted prize into pieces.

Attempting to whisk Becker offstage, the man’s disruptive actions were promptly intercepted by the pageant’s security personnel, who escorted him backstage. Malone Haenisch, the pageant coordinator, expressed deep concern over the incident and condemned the violent behavior exhibited by Becker’s husband, as reported by the New York Post.

Haenisch stressed the fairness of the judging process, reaffirming that Belini rightfully earned the title of queen. He expressed disappointment in Becker’s husband for causing inconvenience and damage due to his refusal to accept the outcome.

“We vehemently condemn the incident that occurred during the crowning of our elected Miss,” Haenisch remarked. “When the partner of Miss Cuiaba, who secured the second position, invaded the stage and aggressively destroyed the crown.”

Furthermore, Haenisch extended his support to Belini and empathized with both her and Becker, emphasizing that they should not be held accountable for the irrational actions of others.

In addressing the aftermath of the incident, Haenisch disclosed that the pageant’s legal team had been informed and that appropriate legal measures would be pursued in response to this disruptive stunt.
